UPDATE: First winner of £3 million shared prize is named
LOTTERY players in one lucky Oxfordshire postcode could be set to become a lot richer.
The People’s Postcode Lottery has announced that a postcode in the Didcot area, OX11 8, is the winner of the September draw with a £3 million prize pot up for grabs.
All of the Didcot residents who have a ticket in this area will share the money – but they don’t yet know how much they will each get.
Winners will receive an invitation to an event at Milton Hill House in Steventon on Saturday, September, 30 where the proceeds will be divvied out.
The full winning postcode will also be announced, with those who live there receiving the largest share of the cash.

Lottery ambassador, Judie McCourt, said: “Congratulations to everyone in OX11 8 and good luck.
“I can’t wait to get to Didcot and hand out some nice big cheques.”
The Postcode Lottery supports local projects with some of its proceeds and has recently given £14,929 to the Sylva Foundation to create a community orchard in Long Wittenham.
