POLICE investigating the collapse of the boiler house Didcot Power Station are likely to send an initial file to the Crown Prosecution Service by the end of the year, it is understood.
Evidence from the 18-month investigation will help prosecutors decide whether to bring charges against the power station owners, the firm which was demolishing the boiler house or anyone else.
Ken Cresswell, 57, John Shaw, 61, Michael Collings, 53, and Christopher Huxtable, 34, were killed when the boiler house came down on February 23 last year.
Thames Valley Police and the Health and Safety Executive have been investigating.
