Search continues after llama drama

Yasmin the missing llama Yasmin the missing llama

THE search is on for a pet llama roaming loose in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Yasmin the llama was last seen on Friday afternoon, while being delivered to Chilton, near Didcot.

A search of nearby fields was conducted and flyers have been handed out, but there have been no sightings since.

The Andean beast had been bought by owner Ann Goldsmith, as a companion for her horse. But she said the normally mild-mannered Yasmin bolted.

She said last night: “We have had no reported sightings so don’t have the foggiest idea where she is.

“If anyone does spot her, and tries to drive her into a barn, a shed, a well-fenced garden or somewhere she can’t get out of, that would be absolutely wonderful. But if she is seen in the open, it is best to call me.”

If you have any information about the llama’s whereabouts call 07722 121671.

This is merely the tip of an iceberg. More than four thousand escaped llamas are now thought to be living rough in the Didcot area alone. The last time Didcot power station cleaned its chimneys, they were positively choked up with llamas.
