DIDCOT: The funeral of a former Abingdon soldier was killed in Afghanistan will take place at the English Martyrs Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 11am.
Lance Corporal Michael Foley, 25, above, served with 3 and 4 Logistics Support Regiments at Dalton Barracks from August 2004-January 2008.
The father-of-three was shot by a rogue Afghan soldier while guarding a base on Monday, March 26.
His wife Sophie’s family live in Didcot. Flowers are welcome and should be sent to the church.
