A34 cyclist hurt

A cyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car on the A34.

The woman, in her 20s, was involved in the collision near Didcot at about 6pm on Friday.

An ambulance service spokesman said she suffered leg injuries not thought to be life threatening. The crash caused tailbacks on the A34.

Why why why was she cycling down the A34? I know it's perfectly legal to do so...but that doesn't make it a sensible idea.

Obviously need to impose a 20mph speed limit on the A34 then!!

The Oxford Mail does make mistakes, maybe she wasn't actually on the A34.
I've cycled on some stretches of dual carriageway but not the A34 or dual carriageways like it.

Maybe it got the 5 mile tailback wrong as well. Cyclos should be banned from the A34 as they are with all motorways.
