THE Oxford Mail’s very own ‘toilet tsar’ was given international approval on Tuesday on World Toilet Day.
The Public Restroom Advocates organisation (Phlush), based in Portland Oregon, America – which campaigns for improved toilet sanitation – put together a toilet tool kit of fact sheets for the international day, designated by the United Nations General Assembly.
Features editor Jeremy Smith, who was appointed by Oxford City Council to help carry out a revamp of the city’s public loos, was mentioned in the toolkit, which read: “Doesn’t your city need a toilet czar (sic) like Jeremy Smith?”
