TWO men were arrested on suspicion of rape yesterday after a man reported being attacked in a city centre alleyway.
Thames Valley Police said the 23-year-old victim was raped at about midnight on Thursday.
A spokesman said two 20-year-old men from Oxford were yesterday being held in police custody.
Nearby shopkeepers were left clueless after their car parking area and bin store, off a lane by New Inn Hall Street, was cordoned off by police during the day.

Bubbal Beauty Parlour had its entrance blocked until the cordon was lifted just after 3pm.
A member of staff, who asked not to be named, said: “The police were not telling us anything.”
A member of staff at Oxford University’s History Faculty said the police had informed them there had been an “incident” in a neighbouring property on the corner of George Street.
