STUDENTS queued through the night to secure their first choice accommodation for next year.
Estate agents North Oxford Property Services in Walton Street released their list of student houses this morning and some waited in line for more than 24 hours.
Music student Harry Davidson at Oxford University was first in queue after his housemate arrived at 5.45am yesterday morning.
He said: "It was definitely worth it. It's flown by really. I had friends around me and we did it in shifts."
Champagne was provided for the first two groups through the door as others were queuing around the block.
Classics student Ellie Jenkins, 18, said: "It wasn't as bad as I thought though it did start raining at one point.
"We shouldn't have to queue like this, especially with the amount we pay to go to university. We are a six and there are barely any six person houses so we didn't really have a choice."
