A HANDMADE Easter bonnet parade ended in sweet surprise for junior pupils from Rye St Antony School, Headington, who caught a glimpse of the Easter Bunny.
Children from Reception through to Year Six donned their eye-catching headwear – which they had crafted themselves at home – and made their way around the school to show the senior students.
Head of the junior school, Joanne Reed, said: “I was really impressed by the effort and creativity that had gone into the bonnets. Every one was unique and almost reflected the character of the child wearing it.”
Ava Crawford, six, Samantha Decker, 11, and Aoife Duggan, five, were announced as the overall winners of Thursday’s competition. Ms Reed added: “We shall be doing it again next year.”
