Two people were threatened by knife-wielding robbers during two separate incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday a 22-year-old woman was walking down Magdalen Road at about 7.15pm when she was approached by a man with a knife.
He threatened her and demanded her purse, but when she did not hand it over he ran off towards Iffley Road.
The offender has been described as white, about 5ft 11 inches and of slim build.
He was wearing a grey hooded top with a dark scarf covering his face, and had an Adidas rucksack.
A 20-year-old man was later approached by two men in St Aldates at 2.30am on Sunday.
The two men threatened him with a knife and the victim handed over £60.
They are described as in their twenties, with one having blond hair and being about 6ft 3 inches tall.
