MORE exhibitors have come forward to take part in a jobs fair at Oxford Town Hall later this month.

Thirty companies have now signed up for the first fair organised by the Oxford Mail’s sister paper The Oxford Times.

Arrangements are now being finalised for the event, which will take place in the main hall at the town hall in St Aldate’s on Thursday, February 18, from 10am to 5pm.

One of the latest companies to sign up for an exhibition stand is food supplier Fresh Direct, which has a base in Bicester.

Other major employers from across the county who will be taking part include Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust, the RAF, Thames Valley Police, learning disabilities charity Style Acre, Grundon Waste Management and event sponsors Day and Night Care Assistance.

Oxford Mail:

Jobs fair co-ordinator Belinda Rand said: “We now have 30 employers who have confirmed they will be attending.

“It is going to be very busy on the day and there is still room for more firms to sign up.

“More companies are coming forward all the time to take part.”

Waitrose, which last year opened a new store in Botley Road, will also be attending.

Managers announced last year they were recruiting 160 staff and the supermarket chain is still seeking to fill a number of posts.

Employers will be able to take people’s details on the day so jobseekers are being encouraged to bring their CVs.
