A series of thefts from vehicles in Oxford last month is being investigated by Thames Valley Police.

At about 9pm on November 26 thieves broke into a Fiat Scudo parked in Bears Hedge, iffley and tools were once again stolen.

Investigating officer Det Sgt James Senior of Local CID based at St Aldates police station said: "We are linking these incidents and believe that a group of individuals are targeting motorists who are leaving tools in vans and also valuables on display.

"I am keen to hear from anyone with information about these incidents, about those responsible or where tools are subsequently being sold to get in contact with me via 101.

“I would like to remind all residents to ensure their vehicles aren’t an appealing target for a thief.

"Don’t leave possessions in your vehicle, whether valuable or not."
