A CRASH involving five cars blocked the A34 northbound.
The pile-up between the Peartree Interchange and Islip turn-off caused delays between 4pm and 6pm, with traffic stretching back to Abingdon.
Initial reports suggested six cars were involved, but South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said the crash was between five vehicles.
He said an ambulance was sent at 3.50pm and one person was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital with injuries that were 'not serious or life-threatening'.
He added: "Everyone else was either treated or discharged at the scene."
Traffic had cleared by 6.30pm but another two cars have since crashed on the A34 northbound near Botley, sparking delays.

Traffic was also slow on the A34 southbound near the Milton Interchange due to a lane closure, caused by a broken-down lorry, which has since been cleared.
