OLYMPIC gold medalist Victoria Pendleton will cut the ribbon on a new charity shop in Bicester.

The track cyclist turned jockey will officially open the new Sobell House superstore in Murdoch Road on Sunday, April 9.

Sobell House head of retail, Louise Musgrove, said: “There had been lots of attention from the residents of Bicester who are eagerly awaiting the opening, following the closure of the previous warehouse in Station Approach at the end of 2016.”

She added: “A large number of people have expressed their excitement at the new project even before the store is ready to be open.

“We have worked so hard to get this huge undertaking off the ground we cannot wait to reveal the results and invite customers new and old to the store.”

The event will start at midday to unveil the superstore to the public.
