STARS of Harry Potter, Doctor Who and Star Wars flocked to Oxford over the weekend to the enjoyment of hundreds of fans at Oxford Comic Con.
More than 1,000 costumed comic fans flocked to last year's inaugural Oxford Comic Con, organised by a group of 10 Oxford University students, at the Examination Schools last March and this year's event was met with similar enthusiasm.
Dave Prowse, who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, and the sixth Doctor Who Colin Baker were among the big names at the Examinations School on Saturday and Sunday.
Alongside celebrity guests there were more than 60 exhibitors including Oxford comic book shop Inky Fingers, artist and writer Anastasia Catris and Superhero Gear UK.
There was also a wand-battling workshop by Final Fantasy and Harry Potter actor Jon Campling.
Mr Campling, who played a Death Eater in the final two Harry Potter movies, tweeted after the event: "It was a fab weekend at Oxford Comic Con - it was lovely hanging out with people there over the two days."
