Machete-wielding men terrorised the residents of a house which was targeted by criminals twice in the space of a fortnight.

Three masked men broke into the home in Spruce Road, Kidlington, at about 2am on Friday, December 1, police revealed today.

They punched one of the occupants, a 20-year-old man, causing a cut to his lip, while a 70-year-old woman was asleep upstairs.

The men, who had a machete, stole three mobile phones before fleeing the scene.

Then, at about 5am on Tuesday, December 12, the home was attacked again.

Two masked men turned up at the property and repeatedly kicked the front door before leaving the scene.

Police said they had descriptions for two of the men who carried out the aggravated burglary on December 1.

One was black, about 5ft 9ins and of average build. He wore an Adidas long-sleeved top with three white stripes on the sleeves and his face was partially covered. He spoke with a local accent.

The second man was white with blonde hair. He was wearing a tight-fitting hat and holding the 30cm-long machete.

Officers also released descriptions of the two men who carried out the criminal damage on December 12.

One was a white man in his early to mid-20s who was wearing a hooded jacket.

The second was an Asian man who was wearing a black face covering.

One of the men was also wearing dark-coloured checked trousers.
