THE search was on for the next Robin Hood or Princess Merida as school students got their hands on bows and arrows in a P.E lesson with a difference.
The Robin Arrows Archery Club came in to the Wootton St Peter’s Primary School on Wednesday morning to teach the students some archery skills.
Despite strong winds from Storm Georgina forcing them inside, all 95 of the school’s pupils had a chance to have a go at the lessons which were designed to boost their maths skills as well as exercise.
Diane McNeil, a teaching assistant with the junior class, said: “All the students were using maths to multiply their scores.
"It was a really nice way of teaching children skills whilst doing something fun.
"By the end, all of them had got a lot better and were hitting the target."
