BURGLARS made off with a car after gaining access to a house by grabbing keys through a cat flap.
Thieves raided the home in Burchester Avenue, in Barton, on Saturday between 3am and 4am.
It is believed that the offenders gained entry to the property by reaching through the cat flap to pull a key from the interior lock of the back door.
A tidy search was conducted on the ground floor of the home and two laptops and two mobile phones were stolen.
Also taken were keys for a silver Mercedes C220 saloon. Its partial registration, offered by police, is OY14N**.
