OXFORD: The court case of a man accused of causing the death of a cyclist by careless driving has been adjourned.
Stephen Bateman, 74, was charged following the death of Joanna Braithwaite in Woodstock Road, North Oxford, on October 28 last year.
A preliminary hearing was due to take place at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday but it will now take place on May 16. Bateman, of Astrop Road, Middleton Cheney, is on bail.
