IT was good old-fashioned fun as youngsters had a taste of the Victorian lifestyle at an Oxford museum.

The half term event at the Museum of Oxford let visitors dress up in historic costume and try arts and crafts of the era. They could also play with Victorian toys and handle antiques in last week’s Victorian Oxford Family Day.

Phil Artley, 35, who took his daughter Grace, five, said: “It was fun. It certainly put a smile on my daughter’s face because we both got dressed up.”
