GP RACER Bradley Smith was reunited with the man who sold him his first motorbike at the Oxford Mail’s Big Test Drive Weekend.

The Moto 2 star was at King’s Two Wheel Centre in Kidlington, yesterday. The Big Test Drive Weekend offered free test drives at 25 county dealerships.

The 21-year-old, centre, was greeted by owner Steve Polden, left, and son Craig, right, who sold the young Bradley his first race bike.

Mr Smith also chatted with Dave Grover, of Quick Start Training, who took him through his first riding test when he was just 17. Mr Grover said: “Even back then you could tell he was absolutely dedicated.

“It’s been really great to see him again.”

Despite the rain, many visitors took up the offer of a spin on one of the dealerships’ Suzuki bikes.

Mr Smith said: “It has been really nice to meet some fans and to catch up with a few people.”
