A MAN has today appeared in court accused of three arson attacks in South Oxfordshire, including those that destroyed district council offices and a funeral parlour.

Andrew Main, 47, of Rokemarsh Farm, appeared via video link from Bullingdon Prison.

He is charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life and two counts of arson reckless as to whether life was in danger.

The four charges relate to fires on January 15 at the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district council offices and  a funeral parlour, both in Crowmarsh Gifford, and a thatched cottage in Rokemarsh.

A hearing at Oxford Crown Court was adjourned until April 10.
