WALLINGFORD band Unusual Suspects got a great reception when they played at BunkFest, the town’s biggest annual festival.
Thousands of visitors enjoyed the sunshine and filled the Kinecroft to watch the bands and morris men performing on several stages.
The three-dayer, which finished on Sunday, also featured Blackbeard’s Tea Party, Edward the Second and The Roving Crows.
Town mayor Lynda Atkins said: “Sunday was perfect BunkFest weather and it was the first time on a Sunday that we had stalls in the market place, and music and dancing, and that worked really well.
“I think 20,000 people is a very reasonable estimate, given the weather.”
The festival, named after the rail line between Cholsey and Wallingford, is staffed by about 300 volunteers. BunkFest started in a pub car park and is now in its 14th year.
