ARSON is thought to be the cause of a hay bale fire last night in Faringdon.
Up to 60 tonnes of hay bales were destroyed in the blaze, which occurred at 7.15pm.
Two fire engines tackled the fire until 1am this morning.
Investigators don’t yet know the cause of the fire, but police are treating it as arson.
The bales were near the A420 roundabout, which caused some disruption due to smoke blowing onto the carriageway obstructing driver’s views.
