That's probably why he was caught so easily.
"Is that a vacuum cleaner in your pocket or are you pleased to see me?"

I can't see the point of this article. Some people have broken the law, they have been to court, they have been punished. Do we really need to know where they live etc?

What I don't understand is the people who were caught driving without a licence and given penalty points on the licences they don't have.

I'm sure there is a reason why part of the offenders' addresses are printed, but I fail to see the point of it either.
And the first couple of comments regarding the vaccuum cleaner "lifting" made me laugh, I didn't think they were sad at all - I thought they were happy comments; I can barely lift mine to do my stairs, so my hat is off to the person who tried to walk out of a store with one.

"Zhi-ping Zhuang, 30, of Cranmer Road, Oxford, admitted driving without a licence in Hollow Way, Oxford, on November 22. Given a six-month conditional discharge and six penalty points."

and banning someone who doesnt have a license anyway?
"Marvin Gerken, 50, of Stanton Road, Forest Hill, admitted driving without a licence and drink driving in Beaumont Road, Oxford, on February 11. Namely having 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Fined £300, costs of £85 and a £15 victims’ surcharge. It took until post number 9 before the comment "Crime does pay after all" appeared. Last time it was in comment 7, the time before that was in comment 3.

Come on lads, you're slipping..

Yes, like standing up to criminals and trying to give them a dose of their own medicine - that usually gets a prison sentence.

"Crime really does pay."

There's always one!

Kidlington Dave is going to "give them a dose of their own medicine" by also driving without a licence, being drunk in the street and by shoplifting.

Because he's an upstanding member of our society dammit!

£300 is a lot of money wallingford1. Apparently not to you, hence your complete disconnection from the real causes of these people's problems.

I'm not sure Lord Wallingford is the best judge (no pun intended) of what just punishment should be.

It's so our law-abiding vigilantes can hunt them down and show that two wrongs make a right in their twisted suburban minds.

Thanks Dappy I thought that might be the reason.

Dappy, £300 for drink driving and not having a license anyway is peanuts. You may change your mind if/when you get hit by someone like this and you have to cough up for a new motor from your own insurance policy. Dappy by Name. Dappy by Nature.
