NINETY-FIVE per cent of residents in South Oxfordshire are satisfied living in the area, according to a new survey carried out by the district council.
Over three quarters of 1,104 residents surveyed also said the quality of services provided by the council was good overall and has improved.
But despite not increasing council tax, and making significant savings through joint working with Vale of White Horse District Council, the number of people who feel the council provides good value for money has dropped from 51 per cent in 2009 to 45 per cent.
But this is still higher than the value-for-money satisfaction rate of 36 per cent in 2007 and 29 per cent in 2005.
Satisfaction with the way the council runs things in South Oxfordshire is at 73 per cent, one per cent higher than the national average.
And nearly three quarters of residents feel they are well informed about the council and the services it provides, well above the national average of 59 per cent.
