HUNGRY Callum and Ross Coates tucked into some good grub at the weekend’s Wallingford Food Festival.

The Chalgrove brothers, 11 and nine, were served pork burgers by Gary Jones, executive chef at Raymond Blanc’s Great Milton restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons on Saturday.

The pig roast was provided by Mark Cooper, owner of Dorchester-on-Thames pig breeders Cooper Oxford Pork.

Mr Cooper, who helped organised the event, now in its second year, said: “The event went off very successfully. The weather was very kind to us. It seemed bigger and better than last year.”

About 2,000 flocked to the event, in Crowmarsh Gifford, to sample local produce.

Mr Cooper said: “The key thing was to prove to the surrounding area that there are a lot of local producers.”
