Firefighters tackle the blaze
THIS thatched cottage in West Hendred, near Wantage, was damaged after a fire broke out yesterday morning.
The fire service was called to the blaze at about 6.15am and sent six fire engines to the scene on Ginge Road.
A spokesman for the fire service said everyone inside was able to get out safely and no one was harmed.
The fire service was unable to say when the fire was put out or how extensive the damage was to the property, but they were still working to extinguish the flames at 11am.
