THE mayor of Wantage has said her New Year’s Resolution is to keep making her town the best it can be.
Fiona Roper has used her time as the leader of Wantage Town Council to boost town business and instituted an annual Alfred’s Day celebration, where living history group The Vikings bring the Dark Ages to light at the town’s park.
She said: “My New Year’s resolution is to build on the good work of the town council over the past four years and make sure Wantage continues to improve.”
