THE family of a man who died in a car crash on Saturday afternoon have said his life was “cut tragically short”.
David King, 32, died after a black Ford Focus he was driving hit a tree when it came off the B4000 near Zulu Farm between Ashbury and Shrivenham, Vale of White Horse.
The Ashbury resident was helped by the public and emergency services and was pronounced dead at the scene. No-one else was in the vehicle.
His family said in a statement: "Dave was born and raised in Lechlade, before moving to Farmor's School in Fairford. He had just started work at SSE as a cable layer.
"He had a great passion for music, never without the stereo blaring, also for football and his beloved team Manchester United.
"He was always the life and soul of the party, enjoying nights out at the local and nights in with his family.
"Although his life was cut tragically short, he touched the lives of everybody he met. This is reflected within the outpouring of love and care we have received and a great testimony to what a fantastic, loving, kind hearted person Dave always was.
"He was a credit to us all, our lives will never be the same with the knowledge that Dave, a wonderful father, son, brother and uncle, is never coming home. We will never stop loving him."
