A 21-YEAR-OLD man charged with murdering his baby son has appeared for a preliminary hearing at Oxford Crown Court this morning.
Jordon Saxton, of Untons Place, Faringdon, is accused of the murder of 11-week-old Jayden Saxton on November 18, when the infant died at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
The 21-year old appeared wearing a grey tracksuit this morning via a video link from HMP Bullingdon and only spoke to confirm his name.
The hearing was adjourned until Tuesday next week when Saxton's barrister will make an application for bail and a timetable will be set for the case.
A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said a post mortem examination showed the cause of Jayden's death was head injuries.
Saxton is in custody and has not given any indication of his plea.
