ONE of Oxfordshire's biggest schools, currently undergoing a multi-million pound renovation, has invited former pupils to come and see the changes.
King Alfred's Academy in Wantage will host the next Alfredians' summer dinner at its Centre Site on July 7.
All former students are invited to attend and to bring a guest.
Alfredians' Club secretary Mike Haddrell said: "Our events have always been well attended by a wide cross section of ex-students.
"They are characterised by good food and drink, a shared sense of comradeship through a common link with the school in all its historic phases, and a great opportunity for old friends to meet, catch up on news and reminisce.
"Almost everyone who comes to a dinner for the first time returns to repeat the experience and the club is keen to encourage new members to come along."
King Alfred's has recently sold its East Site to fund a multi-million pound program of works and new buildings at Centre Site.
