Man injured in crash in Uffington

A driver was taken to hospital last night after his car crashed into a ditch near Uffington.

The accident happened on Fawler Road between Uffington and Kingston Lisle at about 6.50pm.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance said the man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford but she did not know the extent of his injuries this morning.

A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire Service said crews from Wantage, Didcot and Lambourne were called to the crash.

She added: “The driver was not trapped in the vehicle and was conscious and breathing when he was being treated by paramedics.”
