A driver was cut free from their car following an accident on the A44 this afternoon.

Two fire engines from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue service were called to the accident in London Road, Chipping Norton, at about 4pm.

She added that the patient was left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and firefighters left the scene at 4.35pm.

The A44 was blocked in both directions but was cleared just after 7pm.
