THE quick-thinking actions of a teenager saved his disabled mum as a fire ripped through the first floor of their home.
After spotting smoke, Peter Salway, 19, rushed to save his wheelchair-bound mum Jane, who has multiple sclerosis, as the flames took hold at their family home in Manor Road, Bladon.
The family of four all escaped unharmed as 25 firefighters tackled the blaze for about two hours before bringing it under control.
The house was left severely damaged and the family is staying in a nearby hotel, but their cat Sootie is missing.
