THE press were banned from attending a charity auction hosted by Jeremy Clarkson last night.
The auction of promises, which raises funds for Chipping Norton Lido, has been hosted by Jeremy Clarkson on a number of occasions.
Despite being sacked from Top Gear BBC, Mr Clarkson agreed to host this year’s event at Chipping Norton Town Hall.
Lido trustee Claire Jarvis said there was a complete “no-press rule” for the event.
She gave no response to questions about the reason for the ban.
The Oxford Mail and Witney Gazette has attended in previous years to support the Lido's charity efforts.
