CBeebies star Gemma Hunt at the launch of the Cogges Kids Crew at St Mary’s Church in Cogges
HUNDREDS of children and their parents gathered at a Witney church to watch CBeebies star Gemma Hunt launch a new kid-friendly event.
Cogges Kids Crew is a new, monthly church event for all ages at St Mary’s church in Cogges and includes crafts, games, entertainment and food.
The vision was launched by CBeebies’ Swashbuckle star Gemma Hunt on Sunday in front of about 150 eager audience members.
Kirsty Morgan, 42, the new children and families worker at Cogges Church, said: “Gemma did a little talk on our theme “the lost sheep”, a story by Jesus and then she played games with the children and we had supper.”
Cogges Kids Crew is part of a programme of events by the church to support families and strengthen the community.
