OXFORDSHIRE Geology Trust will lead a guided tour through the landscape of West Oxfordshire.
Expert Lesley Dunlop will lead the walk around the Witney area entitled "Geology, Gravel Pits, River Valleys and Past Landscapes" on Saturday, September 3.
The walk will take in part of the current gravel extraction areas and gives an opportunity to look at the composition of the underlying bedrock and what might have happened during the last 160 million years.
The free walk sets off at 10.30am and is approximately three miles long.
