FOODIES and music fans flooded a Cotswolds farm along with a host of florescent bunting, impressive performances and tasty treats at this year's Big Feastival.

Revellers were welcomed back to the farm of former Blur bassist Alex James to enjoy a weekend packed with delicious food opportunities and a musical line-up that was a feast for the ears.

Among the top artists taking to the stage at the farm in Kingham, near Chipping Norton, were Madness, rap legends De La Soul and X Factor stars Olly Murs and Louisa Johnson.

Elsewhere revellers were able to turn their attentions to an array of treats from local traders and demonstrations from some of the world's top chefs.

Family favourite Jamie Oliver was quick to entertain the crowds on stage plus appearances from Italian chefs Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo, Gizzi Erskine, Melissa Helmsley, Sophie Michell, BBC Food Personality of The Year Cyrus Todiwala, Spanish cook Jose Pizarro, Olia Hercules, Mark Hix, Robin Gill, Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and former AA Chef of the Year Nathan Outlaw.

Crowds lapped up the sensational smells coming from the The NEFF Big Kitchen stage where celebrities showed off their culinary talents, with many also getting stuck in to demonstrations and lessons staged by the Big Feastival team.

This also included the NEFF Little Kitchen for youngsters to also roll up their sleeves and get stuck in to making a tasty treat.

Among the most popular food stalls was the Paellaria, doing a roaring business selling Spanish-style rice dishes.

Roberta McClaren and Hollie Hanks, both from Witney, were serving hungry revellers.

The Big Feastival was Miss McClaren’s 14th festival of the summer. She said: “It has been a really good summer for festivals and this has been a nice festival.

"It is really good for families and children, it is very friendly – and it is only down the road for us."

The Feastival line-up also included Alex James’ Cheese Hub, the food and drink market, recipe corner and the favoured fire pit.

The fire pit was a new addition to the Feastival set-up and was the perfect retreat for people to join the crowds and relax whilst toasting a marshmallow and joining the sing-along.
