HERE’S another entry into the best dressed Christmas house competition.
Douglas Tims said it took him and wife Pauline seven days to put up 10,000 lights on his home in Burford Road, Carterton.
The couple have been adding more and more decorations over the last ten years and their annual switch-on has become one of the most anticipated festive occasions in the town.
Mr Tims, 68, said: “Everyone always asks when we are going to do it again.
“People make a detour from Witney to come and see it.
“You can hardly miss it so most people stop and have a look.”
The light extravaganza is raising money for the British Heart Foundation, a cause Mr Tims says is ‘very dear t o them after Pauline’s father died from heart disease at an early age.
Visitors are encouraged to put their donations in a collection box, with £320 raise so far.
