A PAEDOPHILE caught again with indecent images of children despite a court order imposed for a similar offence two years prior has been jailed.

Anthony Edwards, of Aston Road, Ducklington, was set to stand trial for two counts of breaching a sexual offences prevention order, three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child.

In a last minute change of heart the 58-year old admitted all the charges at Oxford Crown Court on January 15 and was sentenced yesterday.

At the earlier hearing the court heard Edwards had first been handed a sexual offences prevention order on October 16, 2014.

He went on to breach that order between January 5, 2016, and September 1, 2016, by removing security software installed on his laptop, as well as removing internet browsing history.

Edwards also admitted making nine category A images, 26 category B, and 214 category C images of children, as well as possessing a further three prohibited images.

Yesterday he was jailed for 15 months for each offence, to run concurrently.

He must also sign the sex offenders register for 10 years and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order indefinitely.
