CROWDS gathered to watch King George slay a Turkish knight to welcome in the New Year.
People gathered outside The Bell Hotel in Charlbury on Boxing Day to watch the performance.
They saw King George, played by Peter Smith – pictured left with Paul Wesson as Princess Fair – kill the knight to music.
Mr Smith said: “There were about 80 people there keeping the mummers tradition alive and well.”
The play put on by King Stone Mummers, was in aid of Katharine House Hospice in Adderbury.
