PIRATES, parrots, treasure, and custard-pie fights will be brought to Northmoor this week with a production of Treasure Island.

The annual pantomime will be performed by the Northmoor Players and features contributions from the majority of the village. The production will tell the story of double-crossing pirates as they do battle to get their hands on treasure.

Dion McHugh, 63, of Northmoor, will play Long John Silver. He said he was enjoying the role, adding: “The bad guys are much more fun to play.”

The show is selling out fast but there are still tickets available for the dress rehearsal tomorrow which will take place at Northmoor Village Hall from 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at The Red Lion in Northmoor.
