JCB boss gave Tories £401,000

JCB boss Sir Anthony Bamford made the fourth largest personal donation to a political party last year, according to The Sunday Times.

Sir Anthony and his family, who live in Daylesford near Chipping Norton, gave £401,000 to the Conservatives in 2011.

Lord Fink, co-chairman of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, gave £248,101 to the Tories in the last year.

Colin and Christine Weir, who won £161m in the EuroMillions lottery, donated the most, £1m to the Scottish National Party.

Maybe change the title - there's a big difference between £410m and £410,000!

Hope he feels it money well spent. With the 3 main parties all being socialist and UKIP yet an unknown quantity I'd not think it was worth giving any of them a penny.

And with a couple of Tory MP's seeing the light and about to defect to UKIP we may see a change sooner rather than later.
