Shoplifter jailed for booze thefts

A SHOPLIFTER has been jailed for stealing Champagne and whiskey.

James Webb, 27, was jailed for 29 weeks at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and had another week’s jail added at Oxford Crown Court yesterday after admitting two further thefts.

He took Jack Daniel’s and Champagne from Marks & Spencer in Witney in October and £80 of meat from Brize Norton Filling Station in November.

Webb, of Blankstone Close, Eynsham, had been jailed the day before for another shoplifting offence that took place in May.
