AFTER the inspiring performances of cyclists at the Olympics, a celebration of all things Cycling will take over Blenheim Palace this weekend.
Bike Blenheim Palace, the UK’s fastest growing cycling event, will see thousands of people enjoy rides, time trials and races on Saturday and Sunday.
Nine cyclists from the GB Para Cycling team, taking part in the Paralympics, will also compete in the 20km time trial as a warm-up to their competition.
They will go up against six members of the Australian Para Cycle team.
It is the fifth time the event has taken place and organisers hope it could raise £100,000 for Breast Cancer Care.
Palace event director Paul Orsi, said: “We’re so excited to have the Team GB and Australia Para Cycle teams competing.
“There are lots of exciting cycling activities for families taking place all over the weekend, including family rides in the park.”
Visitors can also take part in the Pink Ribbonride, a 26.2 mile bike ride through West Oxfordshire, a 100-mile event through the Cotswolds or tackle a 40km off-road track.
There will also be bike polo tournaments and family rides for younger riders.
