Suspended jail term for toilet attack

A clubber’s jaw was broken after being punched in the face while at a urinal.

Robert Wyatt was attacked by Dean Mays in the toilet of Izi in Witney.

Mays was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday having earlier admitted causing grievous bodily harm.

Prosecutor Naomi Perry said Mays and Mr Wyatt had fallen out over a row between their girlfriends and were both at the club on November 12.

Mr Wyatt’s jaw was fractured in two places and needed plating.

Recorder Sandeep Kainth gave Mays a 12-month jail term, suspended for two years, with a six-month curfew and 200 hours’ unpaid work. He must also pay £1,000 compensation.
