THESE pictures show a man police want to speak to after a spate of “bilking” incidents – filling a vehicle with fuel then driving off without paying – in Witney.

The most recent incident happened on Sunday, August 26, at 9.10pm when a man filled his blue Peugeot 207 with £61.09 worth of diesel at the Park View Service Station in Burford Road, Minster Lovell, and left without paying.

The man shown on CCTV images is aged between 28 and 32, about 5ft 7in tall and wearing a black T-shirt.

A boy believed to be between five and seven years old was sitting in the passenger seat at the time.

On Saturday, June 9, at 11.10pm, a man filled his blue Renault Megane with £67.52 worth of fuel at BP Express Woodstock Road in Oxford and left without paying.

In another incident, between June 9 and 10, number plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at Oxford Hill in Witney.

The number plates were placed on a blue Renault which, on Friday, July 27, at Sportif Suzuki Garage in Long Hanborough, a man filled up £40 worth of fuel and drove off without paying.

Police believe the incidents are linked and are appealing for anyone with information to call Witney police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
