Mystery surrounds Regal closure

The Regal nightclub in East Oxford has failed to reopen after a planned break over the New Year.
The club in Magdalen Road was due to close for a brief period over the New Year, but was expected to reopen on Monday, January 12.
Today, the club remained closed and no-one from the organisation could confirm if or when it would re-open.
Last week, partner Charlie McCreedy told the Oxford Mail it was due to a change in shareholders and he hoped it would reopen last Friday.
But the club remained shut, with planned weekend events cancelled at short notice, and neither Mr McCreedy nor manager Michael Keel were available for comment.
