1 You have kept the same formation for three games now and given the front players a chance of scoring.

2 Despite that silly comment in the week about not trying to hold on to leads you didn't try to do that today. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER.

Please keep this strategy and don't bottle it (like you did putting Heslop on for Potter at Rochdale).

If you do, as one of your biggest critics, good luck to you and hopefully you can get this club somewhere.

442 - as we knew for ages. Keep it up CW - nice to beat little Wycombe - the library was quiet as ever. Never mind any win away from home is a good result . Well done STFC - putting an even smaller club to sword but by a great margin. Time we caught you up again - next season please, Mr Lenagan

WILDER STILL MUST GO

Really good performance today. Potter and Rigg Brilliant, Beano and Cradd linking up well and commanding displays from Mullins and Whingy. Bit dissapointed with some of chappers wayward passing. however, did CW not dick around again at 3-1 by taking off Rigg and going back to his 433 and put us on the back foot a bit and take away most of our attacking threat? Maybe I am being a little unfair but I would still make the change if IL is serious about us progressing. COYY

Some of the comments above re CW are totally uncalled for and disrespectful to someone working hard on behalf of our club.
Thought Jake Wright was imperious in the first half and ensured we stayed ahead. He should have been MOM in my opinion.
Chappy was not on good form. We gave the ball away far too cheaply and he was one of the worst offenders.
That said, good result and good performance - well done CW and the lads.

Working hard is the least you must expect from any manager - so not criticism ever of any manager?

Dont be daft. Its the tone not the criticism itself. Adopting an insulting manner towards your own teams manager (or players) is unnecessary - you can criticise without being offensive/rude. We all want the best for the club and we should recognise this when we communicate with each other.

Another good result but we are not out of the woods yet for sure. Did anyone listen to Mr. Wilder on Radox before the game because I am sure that he said the Yellows were at their best when playing 4 3 3 . I'm not quite sure what he has been watching for the last year or so but if he did say that then where are the results to support that remark. Easy to put the blame on injuries poor quality of players bad weather bad playing surfaces but what part do you play in this then Mr. Wilder I and many other fans are intrigued to know. Meanwhile please keep playing 4 4 2 it does work.

Politely _CW - in my humble opinion - has not been too special a manager since we ended in our second best Conference finish - pity we missed those penalties versus Exeter in our first year down . Take us into the top three this season Mr Wilder and you will have done a decent job . Polite enough , sir?

Unlucky them. It would take a lot more than "don't be daft" to get to me - I am daft! I will continue to criticise amanager or a player if I wish to - regardless of their commitment - as the other guy (possibly a good un) appreciates . No doubt he agrees with that

Maybe you should look up pompous eh? or patronising. Oldun seems a pretty fair debater who articulates his points very well. I'm not sure where you've been for last 2 years or whether you've read Wilder's unintentionally comical pre/post match rants. The manager deserves flak when the team is under performing and whilst two wins from three is good (even though they were against very poor teams) it doesn't compare to 6 defeats on the bounce does it? Unless we get a decent run going we'll simply amble along until we reach mid table mediocrity and this is not good enough.

Wilder has had plenty of time to get it right and he's made some awful decisions on and off the pitch - several loan players have been flops and the manager has to 'man' up (another ridiculous Wilderism used on his players) when his decisions go wrong.

I've said it along that promotion is the only objective this season and I'm not sure wilder can achieve this because he is a walking contradiction. No excuses any more League 1 next season or new manager. Lenagan's silence isn't helping the club at all either.

Agreed - League One next season or new manager - or possibly with a new manager. Anything less than the third tier would not be good enough. U's fans have suffered for too many years - last season of good football for United was 97-98 . Yep, our team had some good results against weak opposition since then eg - in one of Atkins seasons and in two of the Conference seasons - 2nd in our first season among 'the dead men' . COYY

The majority of us are positive it's just that the negative ones shout a lot louder on internet forums. Luckily not so much in the stands.

I remain very positive that we can (can) climb from the lower reaches (yes) of the table - 4th place would be (unless followed by an approx one in four chance of promotion) should be for this club very very disappointing . Conceded (many?) more than we have scored . Always look on the bright side - I do - we can do it

well you keep your undying faith and I'll keep my cynicism alive - that way at least one of us will be basing our opinions on the performances so far of this team under Wilder. 16pts from top position and 7 points from a relegation spot is just as real as your positive slant - we just see it differently. Promotion this season is an absolute must and Wilder should be prepared for this or accept this might be his last season. Having said that I wouldn't miss Lenagan if he went either as he's shown very little interest in the club. You need to take thing less personally Mick E - I want the same as you for our club I'm just not sure Wilder is the man to take us forward.

??? Many clubs far above United in the table (and in League One) have much less affluent owners than IL is oft purported to be. CW - my jury is out with him. Not with yours? If he takes into the third tier at the end of this season he might get my vote for another two seasons. If not , then we must have a new manager next season. Hope that's not too hilarious!
